My name is Omi. I'm a six year old male Chesapeake Bay Retriever (CBR). I am neutered, have a brown/red coat and people tell me I have beautiful amber eyes. Other than my initial time at a shelter as a puppy, I have been with one family who has taught me basic and some advanced commands. American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Rock! He is an amazing mixed-breed dog who is estimated to be a Bulldog mix or a Pit Bull mix, but either way Rock is a doll! He is about 4 years old and 65 lbs. He is white with two big black spots and is absolutely beautiful. He gets compliments all the time when his foster parents are out and about with him. His foster mom takes him to her office, and he loves meeting new people. He just wants to crawl in your lap and be loved on at all times. He thinks he is a little puppy! Rock is so grateful to be out of the shelter, and he will let you know that every day. Rock will look at you with his big brown eyes and melt your heart! Often ... (Read More)times, his foster parents call him Rocky, as it flows easier than Rock. He loves to play with other dogs. He lives with three medium/large dogs in his foster home, and he does great with all of them. He even snuggles with the one dog who doesn't really like to snuggle! He was submissive and gentle with a Chihuahua that he met too! Rock is crate trained and house trained. He knew how to use the doggy door on the first day. He knows 'Sit', 'Shake' and 'Lay down' and takes treats very gently. Rocky is now leash trained!! He loves to go on walks, runs and hikes with his foster parents who have trained him to be well-mannered and to not pull. His only bad habit that is left to work on is his occasional 'barrier aggression' where he can act aggressively when on leash, behind a fence or in the car when strangers are approaching. This may be a bad habit from when he was in boarding before being rescued. He is progressing everyday, and this issue will too be a distant memory soon. Rock has no food aggression and when other dogs try to pick a fight with him, he walks away. He loves to play wrestle with dogs and would love to have a doggie best friend! See his video below. He is very sweet and is great with children too. When you speak firmly to him for doing something naughty, he lowers his head and looks at you with his adorable puppy eyes. He is relatively easy to train and has been responding well to his foster parents' training. He is very interested in cats, so he may not be okay with cats. Rock is an absolute sweetheart and deserves an amazing forever home! He loves to sleep in bed with you and get on the couches for naps. He deserves a home where he can be spoiled. His foster mom absolutely loves him and can tell that he has so much love to give back! If you'd like to meet Rock, please fill out an online app today!     I was born in July of 2008. I was raised in a family with other dogs. I am just a gentle couch potato at heart, though I enjoy long walks. I like hanging out by your side on walks and never pull on the leash. I know how to sit, lie down, roll over and shake. I love to relax, watch TV and snuggle. I have a funny little underbitey smile and soft, soft fur. I'm a little shy at first with new people, though I really do love people. I am good with calm, older children.     My name is Gypsy Rose. I like cats. Nobody realized this until last year so... surprise! I would love a nice, quiet home with a loving, quiet person and some cat friends. I like to go for short walks. I enjoy rides in the car. I would like to be allowed to relax on the furniture and watch TV with you. I am a good girl and know my basic obedience. I will listen to you and behave like a nice lady should! Would you be interested in giving me a forever home? I know I'm worth knowing the love only a lifelong companion can give. I would love to meet you! Let my friend, Abbie, know that you are interested in me. Her info is below. This is my story: ... (Read More)My first few years, I was chained up outside and ignored. I had puppies, but none of them got to stay with me. One day, I was brought to a shelter. I finally had enough to eat, a warm place to sleep and people to love me. After a while, I was adopted by a couple with a big, fuzzy dog. He was not happy to share his home with me and after about a week, he beat me up. So they brought me back. Then a really nice man adopted me. I got to sleep on his bed and play with the little dogs next door. His older mom made him give me back to the shelter though. Next, I went to live with a woman who seemed nice at first, but back to the shelter I went again. Finally, I was adopted by a wonderful, kind woman who had two cats. We lived happily for several months, and I thought I had finally found my Forever Home. Then, her life got turned upside down through no fault of her own. To keep me out of harm's way, she gave me back to the shelter where they know me so well.
